Cancer Support

Many people diagnosed with cancer have found that support groups can help them to better manage their thoughts, feelings and fears during and after treatment. Family members and friends can also benefit from support groups and enable them to handle the emotions related to a loved one’s diagnosis.

Studies have shown that support groups for cancer patients and their loved ones can help to reduce depression, manage anxiety, improve communication and increase self-esteem. In addition, a support group can also help you, as a patient, to gain more knowledge regarding your diagnosis and treatment – increasing your quality of life

Dr. Ruth offers both individual therapy sessions and facilitates group support for cancer patients, cancer survivors and family members of cancer patients.
