About Dr. Ruth

Dr. Ruth Schriebman
PsyD, MFT, CT

Dr. Ruth Schriebman is a Doctor of Psychology and Licensed California Marriage and Family Therapist.  She is also a Certified Thanatologist, also known as the study of death, dying and bereavement.

Dr. Ruth earned a Doctorate in Psychology from Ryokan College, holds Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Antioch University and has been in practice since 1998. Dr. Ruth works with individuals in varied types of relationships including couples, families, friends, co-workers, etc.

Although her office is located in Redondo Beach, Dr. Ruth also facilitates cancer support groups at The Cancer Support Community (formerly known as The Wellness Community) located on the Redondo Beach Pier.

In addition to her work with cancer support groups, Dr. Ruth also facilitates support groups for those coping with the loss of a child from a suicide, or the loss of a spouse from a suicide.

Additionally, Dr. Ruth was a Captain in the State Military Reserve for 4 years, where her main position was combat stress testing for soldiers being deployed.  She is a TriCare Provider for Military Families (Active Military Families or Retired Military Families).
